At MistPDF, user privacy is not an afterthought—it is the foundational architecture of our software. We operate on a strict Zero-Telemetry, Client-Side Only guarantee.

1. Zero Document Storage

When you upload, merge, crop, or sign a PDF on MistPDF, your file is loaded directly into your computer's RAM via HTML5 WebAssembly and the File API. It is never transmitted across any server network, stored in databases, or cached in cloud buckets.

2. Offline Capabilities

Because our rendering engine is fully packaged in the application bundle, you can disconnect your internet connection and continue processing PDFs with complete functionality.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We only store your theme preference (Dark vs Light mode) locally in your browser. We do not use third-party tracking pixels or fingerprinting technologies.
